ECML training and consulting for member states

With the “Training and Consultancy” service, proposed by the ECML to member countries of the enlarged partial agreement, members of the FREPA team can now intervene in these countries, either for training or in collaboration with educational leaders to support the development of innovative approaches

Plurilingual and intercultural competences: descriptors and teaching materials (FREPA)

Training in the principles and practice of plurilingual and intercultural approaches to increase the efficiency in language learning, learning to learn by taking into account the linguistic repertoire of each learner and opening up to otherness.

FREPA training and Consultancy offer

Trainings can be conducted in English, French or German.

This offer is targeted at teachers of languages and other subjects, teacher trainers, curriculum developers, textbook writers, policy makers and decision takers. It provides individual workshops adapted to local/national needs.

Training in the use of FREPA online:

  • list of competences
  • didactic materials
  • tools for teacher trainings
  • national networks for plurilingual approaches

The FREPA team also cooperates with the ECML training and consultancy European Language e-Portfolio project (website available in English and French).

Possible topics

  • further development of a specific plurilingual approach (for example : integrated didactics
  • use of FREPA descriptors for knowledge, attitudes and skills for the refinement of a training course or series
  • search of didactic materials in the database
  • adaptation of didactic materials
  • development of training sessions for teachers
  • plurilingual approaches and education policies.

Content and form of training will be determined in direct collaboration with the local contact person.
