Teaching and learning materials

This database aims to facilitate teachers access to educational materials relevant to pluralistic approaches to languages and cultures. This way they will be able to help learners appropriate their knowledge, attitudes, and skills as described in the lists of descriptors. The materials, available to download, can be selected according to various criteria: objectives (as expressed by the FREPA descriptors), levels of training, thematic areas, the type of pluralistic approach, and the language of instruction.

Description
D'abord ils doivent lire un extrait d’un article et réfléchir sur les malentendus issus de l’utilisation de différents gestes selon les pays pour exprimer la même idée.
Puis, ils devront identifier le pays où l’on utilise chaque geste pour en déduire leur signification.
Le second objectif est de lire un autre extrait d’un autre article pour se rendre compte que la communication avec les natives de la langue qu’ils apprennent sera plus facile s’ils s’intéressent á leur façon d’agir.
Plus tard, il faudra qu’ils essayent de faire un rapport entre des nationalités et les questions qui se posent à propos des « madrileños ». Ils arriveront à la conclusion que notre perception des autres cultures dépend de la perception de leur propre. Pour finir, ils doivent identifier certains comportements des japonais.
Un autre objectif c’est de sensibiliser les élèves que la connaissance de la culture est importante pour arriver à la compréhension de certains messages.
