A framework of reference for pluralistic approaches to languages and cultures

This publication opens ways for implementing pluralistic approaches in classrooms in order to develop the plurilingual and intercultural competences of learners of all subjects. The term pluralistic approaches to languages and cultures refers to didactic approaches which involve the use of more than one / several varieties of languages or cultures simultaneously during the teaching process.

The Framework of Reference for Pluralistic Approaches to Languages and Cultures (FREPA) which defines and exemplifies standards for pluralistic approaches, adds value to the CEFR… One hopes it will have the same influence on language teaching as the CEFR.

A didactic tool for integrated plurilingual and intercultural education

This offer proposes diversified, reflective and practical teacher training for the development of plurilingual and intercultural education. It is based on a transversal, cross-curricular vision of language learning in this area, the importance of which has been underlined by the publication of the CEFR's Companion Volume.
